The females tend to be a little bigger, and sometimes have a thin brown line (as mentioned) along their sides. If you see ones with blue on one of their fins at the LFS, do NOT buy them as they are most likely dyed artificially. Mature males when spawning will sometimes have a deep blue underside, but you'll never see that at the LFS. |
