Out of curiosity can paradise fish cross breed such as opercularis(blue/albino paradise fish) with concolor(black) or any of the other paradise fish? Do all blue paradise have purple across their heads and dorsal fin? Last my breeding tank has these little white worms floating around in it. Only about 1/8inch long they just wiggle around random directions and the male eats them. Are these parasites or could they be the free floating offspring of my asian clams? The clams are working as filters since there is no filter running on that tank and they supposedly produce free swimming young instead of parasitic.

The Paradise, the Chinese Paradise and the Black Paradise fish will all hybridize and produce at least partially viable offspring. The blue and albino morphs are less aggressive than the wild type.

chinese paradise meaning Macropodus ocellatus or more commonly found on sites as the roundtail? Since it's rarely heard of here I doubt I'll ever see one . My fry are growing fine despite the white mystery worms. I removed the fry (not sure they are even a week old) then did a water change and today I find more eggs! They better grow faster so I can sell them or I'm going to be overrun with fry.
