ryancohen8![]() Small Fry Posts: 10 Kudos: 2 Votes: 0 Registered: 14-Jul-2004 ![]() ![]() | i have 3 gouramis in my tank. Two are blue and the other is orange. For a couple of week, the orange gourami was chasing the blue one. Now, one of the blue gouramis has tottally blown up in size. Its doubled in size and looks pregnannt. The other gourami, seems to have grown a little on its left side. I seperated the blue gourami that looks pregnant because i was told if it was pregnant, i must seperate them so the babies or eggs arent eaten. Did i do the right thing? What am i supposed to do?????????????? |

I have two gold gouramis, and according to the pet store guy, it is likely that one is male and one is female. I noticed that one of the gold ones chases the other now, but doesn't pay any attention to other fish, including other varieties of gouramis, could that be mating behavior? |

Its side has blown up, but not nearly as much as the other ones. If it does have eggs and i want baby gouramis...what should i do. Shouldi take out the algae eaters? When should i ever seperate the female from the male? And whats a bubble nest? |

What you have going on does not sound like normal. Here are some girls. Some floating plants are very helpful to give him a place to build his nest. The fry are tiny, so feeding them first requires some liquifry, then baby brine shrimp and ground up flake food. Aquaricare has flake food for young fish, I raised some of my Gold Gouramis on a mix of this and frozen foods. HTH Steve ![]() |
