one of my VT males is tail biting himself. how can i stop him from damaging himself.

Unfortunately you can't put an elizabethan collar on a betta like you can a dog or cat to keep them from scratching, biting, or worrying a healing wound. Wish I could help with some advice. Any signs of parasites or disease?

Unfortunatley there's not alot you can do. I have 1 that's responded to added entertainment (in the form of a suspended fish ornament which he attacks) but i'm at a loss with my other current problem child

Just make sure you keep his water clean & add some melafix to prevent infection & promote re-growth

he is not sick but i decided to put him in front of another male and it seems to work b/c he spends all day flaring at him.
