in just a few weeks after school end my plan is to setup a 2o gallon long aquarium. myt goal is to have 2 watts of light on it and a hang on the back filter (undesided on the type). i have a submersible heater and the plan is to buy eco-complete substrate.
plants will be possibly wisteria, anubias, apogotens, some crypts and rotala indica. i want to put a bushy plant but have yet to find one im in love with(some ideas would be great)
i want to do CO2 but im thinking of a DIY system to stay cheap and simple.
some things that will be in the tank as well will be driftwood and some rocks to break it up a bit and provide some visuals. im starting by getting the stand made by the welders at my school and then its off to the next step...IM HOPING THES WILL BE A COMPLETE LOG!!!! GO ME

If possible, I would shoot for more than 2wpg. Since you are going to use CO2, I would go for around 3wpg. Then you could grow some high light plants. On smaller tanks, more wpg is needed. So I think 2wpg on a 20g would be borderline low/medium light.

If you decide against the CO2, then 2wpg would be good, and you wouldn't have to deal with algae (like you would with no CO2 and 3wpg).

Just my 2 cents

I'm sure LittleFish and Tetratech will have alot more useful info...I'll let them give you some advice now...

edit: this is my 1001 post...YAY! I missed the 1000th one.!) I guess that's what happens when I play online at work.

Well bratyboy2,

For now I will simply let you read through my rather short 20G Long Log, that may give you enough ideas to get started .

Congrats on the 1000 ++ Kristin
