Hey all,

UPDATE
the new light that if you read up the topic a bit you will see i have got thanks to the help of all of are people on the site. i have started another step on the tank...a plant...a fert
the plant i chose was a banana plant i love those little plants...it has 2 brown bananas on it but thats beacuase the tank it was in had almost half the water in it and no light but the guy at the store said it only went in there a day or 2 ago then i asked were the ferts were he had one type called plantgro it look like what i want and it had everything i needed for my aquarium so i bought on with lots of iron in it...then of course i went to pay and the weirdest thing happend.(well kinda weird for me) he gave me the plant no charge.
i think my next step was because the person financeing a bit of the tank AKA my mom wanted a little flower type plant with a nice couler...Any sugestions for that thought?
heres a pic of my plant and one of the fert if you can reconize it by eye

Nice looking plants

i am looking forward to seeing how those base rocks do... if they dont work you can definatly try root tabs.. those shoudl works similar to those rock things....

also the substrate change still will provide more effective due to the root sytem going beyond just the base of the plants... especially with the swords!

but Good luck none the less.

hi all,

ok my camera is charged again (after leaving it on)
so i got a full tank shot for you guys as you can see i just replaced 2 of my tacky plastic plants (getting rid of the big red one was a realy good thing) and the plants are ready to grow
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t83/zzz099/tankshotnewplants.jpg

next on the menu is
1.)get rid of platys and bleeding hearts
2.)wait till next week when LFS gets its big shipment of plants in then get corkscrew val, jungle val, anacharis, mabey a different one depends on what he gets

i was simply implying that many plants such as swords have extensive root systems and would need a substrate change... a little misunderstanding... tank i s looking good... cant wait to see it with soem more green.
