Hello everyone,

I wanted to share some pics of my tank...

This tank was set up on 2007 and I't helped me mature in the art of fish keeping, so it is very dear to me. Of course, there is always room for new experience and improvement so any comments are welcome.

Last few years I left the tank quite adrift since a lot of life changes were in motion. Lately I've been more settled down and started toying with the idea that it was time to bring the tank back up to speed again, prune the forest of plants and java moss and restock the depleted schools of tetra, basically balance out the tank a little.

For years I kept the tank mildly stocked and although it is i good conditions, well some of the tetras and my farlowella died, mainly due to old age I gather since I've read this are short lived fish.

Tank is a 50 gallon standard size, runs a UGF with one powerhead and a HOB.

Lightly planted with a 5 year old anubia bartieri var. Bartieri I think, and now added some other plants like hornworth and cabomba. Others i have yet to identify properly.

Lighting specs are 2.8 watts per gallon through 4x36 econo fluoro bulbs in the 6500K parameter.

Original stocking is:
-1 hoplos cat (7" )
-1 clown loach (5" )
-1 banjo catfish (5" )
-3 Red Phantom tetras (1.7" )
-3 Rummienose tetras (1.7" )
-1 Marble hatchet tetra (1.7" )

As you can tell restocking was needed and after quarantine I added:

-4 Marble hatchets (0.5"-1" )
-5 Red Phantoms (0:5"-1" )
-1 clown loach (2.5" )
-1 banjo catfish (3" )

And now in quarantine I have:

-6 Rummienose (0.5" )
-2 Marble hatchets (0.7" )
-2 Red Phantoms

I'll add some pics progresively since my connection is slow.

Hope you all like it,

RP

This DW was a gift from a friend that lives by the coast... I had to hold it down with some stones since it still floated.

Some glosso that came attached to another plant bought at the LFS... I'll give it a try to see if it fares well in 2.8 w/g...

The hoplos is the main fish on the tank due to size and prescence. He's always showing off and imposing his dominance in the tank.

Red Phantoms under the DW, you can see the older ones with deeper red color and the newly added and younger ones still pale and discolored.
