I have had these bulbs twice but I think I must have got a different box this last time. My first bubls produced a plant with short, spear like leaves that you would like, they only grew about 6 inches. Then it also produced the very long stemmed leaves that reached the surface and looked like lily pads. The plant I have now looks nothing like a lily pad. It has the typical spear leaves but they are on the surface, the long stem is the only thing you see from the side.
