I have about a 1000 gallon pond in my backyard and my plants are looking somewhat yellowish/brownish.....

I went to the supermarket and found this product for 'green plants' and bought it. Im wondering if I can use it on the plants in the pond without harming the fish or snails.

It says: Guaranteed Analysis

Organic Nitrogen 0.3%
Phosphorus 0.125%
Potassium 0.045%
Calcium 0.125%
Magnesium 775 p.p.m.
Boron 6 p.p.m.

It reads "Evergreen special mix for fern and green plants is a balanced organic formula of chelated elements designed to stimulate the development and fast growth of new shoots. May be used in all kinds of ferns and other Green Plants.

Any help is appreciated.

i'm thinking that this is a fertilizer for garden plants.Aquatic plants require a bit differant nutrients i think if you go to any fish supply they should have aquatic plant food.

If you bought it at a super market you can be sure it is for garden plants. I think you will have to go to a specialist store to get the correct fert. If it was suitable for aquatic use it would state that.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
