Welcome to the world of live plants. Remember they require looking after.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

be sure that the rhizome of the java fern isnt burried. also check on the light needs of your plants and the fert needs as some plants require lots of fertilization through dissolved paricles.

Great Benn.......I know how you feel! I got some plants too. I don't know what salvinia is, but I love the way the hornwort grows. It also shades & adds a nice green color to the tank especially when the light shines through it. When it grows well, it takes over the tank though & you will be throwing some out on a regular basis. It's worth it though. I wish you continued luck with the plants.

Hi Patty,
Go to this site:
http://www.tropica.com/default.asp
Across the right side you will see the letters of the
alphabet. Click on the "S" and several choices will
appear, click on the "Salvinia" and a picture of that
plant along with its characteristics will come up on
the screen.
