crazyred - You are worthy, trust me. We know nothing either, we just pretend.

NowherMan6 - Now that is impressive, excellent German . A former German Chancellor once said to his US Counterpart (the President) "You can say you to me," literally. With this, he meant to say that he can use the informal communication form (like tu in french vs. the formal vous), and you, NowherMan6, for sure can say you to me. And thanks for the conspiracy information, now I got it, so - .

Well Excel won't kill all algaes but seems to be very effective against Beard Algae and Staghorn

Bensaf, and others with this experience, when you say Beard Algae, which do you mean? The short black tufts, or the longer green tufts?

I would say it is most good for the short one, although I believe the first time around it also affected the longer green threads (but never thread and staghorn, for me),

The German word is

Hi,
Guys, THE only language allowed for use in FP is the

LF and Nowher,

BUSTED!!

When I first set up my 40G I got some wierd algae in there. I think it was hair algea but I am not very good with the different types because what I get in my tank is #1 not very much of it and #2 never looks like the pictures. Any ways.... I doesed quite a bit of the Excel and it all turned red and died with in a week.

I only asked a simple question and did not expect all of this. Any way I have started using 2mm per day and will keep you updated in one weeks time.
Excel is like all aquarium additives you must find the level to use and how to use it.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Us regulars on the planted forum have turned going off on a tangent to an artform

It keeps things lively anyway and your always guaranteed a well thought out answer with all the various scenarios trashed out.

Beats a "yeah, should be fine" post anyday of the week.

Anyway back on track I think you'll be fine with the 3 times dosage. You can run an airstone to keep oxygen high.

You have not lost your sense of humour. Yes it certainly beats the one liners.

I do have an air stone also my internal Eheim also sucks in fresh air this produces a very fine bubble stream.

These both give me a good airation and water movement.
