Hi,

Here's my first planted tank. I'm waiting for the hairgrass to fill in the foreground.
Its just a novice tank. However, the comments, suggestions and criticism of every type is most welcome []

I like it........... the different textures & colors.

But I'm new & know nothing about aquascaping.

You're right...........will look better when the grass grows in.

Great job!

I haven't planted a tank yet, so its nice to see a beginner create a good tank.

I'll do graffiti,
If you sing to me in French.

Looks good, but keep an eye on that purple plant on the left. I'm pretty positive it's not a true aquatic plant and will probably die in a month or so.

Your tank looks really nice! So many colors. How many gallons is it? Nice tiger barbs also.

Thanks everybody. Its a 15G.
Matty, I myself am almost sure it wont do underwater. It was a gift from a friend of mine, so I just put it in there for as long as it survives.

I dedicate my first tank to the planted tank gurus at FP. Their tanks have always been a source of inspiration for me And of course, they are all very helpful! Hopefully, I'll be able to create tanks like those one day......

Your tank looks very nice. That purple plant, it looks like something I see quite a lot & I bought one with my very first batch of plants. Matty is right - it didn't last very long. But I see you know that already.

Anyway, keep up the good work.

Cheers

So this is a 15G tank.

What are you doing for ferts?
Lighting?
Filter?

The tank looks pretty nice. All the plants look quite healthy.

Nice work!

Ligting: 36W 6400K CF. (only medium light, looking to upgrade it to at least 3wpg).
Fertlizer: PMDD (did quite a bit of experimentation with it in a 5g laboratory tank ) + Substrate fertilization at the tank startup + A trace element mix sold as "Plant plus" here in my locality.
Filter: A small internal filter rated at 350L/hours. This filter is there to power the CO2 diffuser and provide some current than the actual filteration.

Thanks for the complients by the way

Very nice first tank. I too am working on my first tank (lo-tech 6 gal). But it's no where near presentable yet.
That purple plant on the left, i have it too... in my garden... as in my non-aquatic garden in my front patio. I got it at Home Depot. They called it "dragon's breath."
