Potted Plant Question | |
Barb_Fan2 Fingerling Posts: 27 Kudos: 23 Votes: 0 Registered: 12-Jan-2006 | Hi All I'm new to having live plants in my 55gal tank. My question is I purchased some potted swords and another plant that I forget the name of it. Now do I leave them in the pots or do I take out? |

Some plants apprently prefer to be kept in the pots but first you must remove the wool and replace it with a substrate. Carefullu peel the tock wool from the roots. If the roots are white, they are healthy. Before planting, trim the roots back to no longer than two inches. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

It is a thick dense product like fiberglass but not as troublesome to use. It is also used widely in hydroponics. I would prefer to remove all plants from those small pots for aquariums.
