Okay, what is this? It doesn't look like it did in the store. It makes me think of an alligator's back when I look at it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kellysfishylife/ My husband hates it. I think it's different. I'm not getting anymore like it, but I'm not getting rid of it either. I just find it curious.

It "Could" be one of the Crypts and I am thinking of either wendtii or undulata both the brown varieties.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

Looks like crypt. undulata to me. I've never seen a wendtii with leaves that are that crinkly.

I agree that it definitely looks like a crypt. Now if we can all agree on which one it can be posted as a photo. I saw a bronze wendtii on the internet that looks like it, but I don't trust myself.

The reason I said wendtii is that I have both green and brown varieties but in saying that there is a slight difference in the flowers and that seems the only true way of telling the difference.

The wendtii the tip of the flower tapers to a smooth point where as the undulata has a twist all the way to the tip from where it starts to taper.

Any way you have a lovely Crypt.

I'm confused. When I open that link, I see pictures of a Fire bellied newt, not a crypt

Cheers
