Some recent shots from my frag system:

Blue echino:

Green Echino:

Acro:

Another Acro:

Green star polyps:
gsp.jpg" border="0">

Blue ridge:

Green Monty:

Purple digi:

Leptastrea:

Zoas:

Full Tank Shot:

The system is 3 x 30g breeders stacked above a 40g sump. Current dosing is kalkwasser in the top off with Ca, Alk, and Mg supplements. Estamated system volume is roughly 100g. Skimmer is a turboflotor and lighting is 4 x 39w T5HO on bottom tank, will be the same on middle and top tank when I set up the lighting for those. The return pump is a mag 5 just for turnover. Main flow is going to be 2 koralia 2's in each tank more or less....so about 1350 gph through each 30g tank.

Neat set up... for being on the dark side of the line. I still think I have enough of a handful with my freshwater stuff. I can't imagine getting a saltwater money pit!

Thanks wings!

I get some freebies and a great discount from work so it's not so much of a money pit for me. Plus I had a lot of equipment already. It's really addictive to me...I think I would have to do it even if I didn't work there!

That makes it a little easier. I do have an extra 4', 130W PC light... Maybe I should bring my 40G long back from MI...

Yeah you should, that would be a fine light for most corals.

I have some new pics to post up. I traded in some of the green star polyps for some new corals.

Here's a couple shots of my clown:

Some growth on the macroalgae (pinkish parts) :

And finally I got my first coral pest, something on this acro. You can see the white spots, very very small all over the coral.

I used a product called revive to dip ALL my corals in. I used that because we've used it in the store successfully in the past. I dipped everything because you can't be too certain if it made the small jump to anything else. Just after the dip it had weird stringy stuff coming from where all the white spots were, I assumed that was dead acro pests and it went away so I think I took care of the problem.

Might not be any time soon. This house buying stuff is really taking a ton of time, energy and money. I don't think I could handle a salt set up. My LFS owner is working on me too but I am quite happen with my FW plants.

Your coral stuff still looks out of this world. I don't think I know what any of the ones you just posted up are though....

How is the 55G?

Thanks wings! I think it went hammers, blastos, millepora, sponge, green slimer, green monty, some acro, orange monty, poccilopora, millepora, clownfish.

The 50 is just hanging in there. The blyxa isn't growing much, and I'm starting to get some cyano on stuff. I think I just need more growth in there. I'm in the process of getting it some pressurized co2...just waiting on the regulator. I'm going to just run the CO2 into the aquaclear filter I have and see how that works for a while.

How's your tank running?

My tank is still running. I posted a few new pictures of it a couple weeks back. We have not moved yet as originally planed so I haven't had to deal with the tear down and set up yet. At this point I am only doing the minimum with it. It seems to be taking the abuse pretty well.

I think the CO2 will do your 50G wonders. I think that was the only thing you had missing.

Haven't taken a lot of pictures lately because my corals lightened up considerably. I went on vacation around christmas and I think the tank ended up running a bit too clean. I normally feed every night, but didn't feed at all while I was gone. By the time I got back all the acros and montiporas lost a lot of color. I took off the algae scrubber and I've increased the feeding and have started dosing amino acids. Things have slowly started to color back up so I thought I'd post some shots:

You want to see the cyano huh? Looks like jolly green giant snot. I've been going in there and vac'ing it out every few days. It's getting better though, I think I'm winning the battle. Hasn't changed much from earlier pictures though. I've been waiting to get rid of the cyano to try and mess much with it. I'm glad to say that the blyxa is growing and WAY happier than it used to be.....but I think I lost the star grass which surprised me. I thought it's growth would really pick up with the CO2. Ah well, can't have everything.

Been a while so I thought I'd load up on some pics today .

I'll start with a couple of new fish I've gotten lately. I also got a high fin goby, but he didn't want to caome out and play:/.

First, the sixline that I've had for a few weeks. He's settled in nicely in the bottom of the three frag tanks:

The other, which I got last night with the high fin goby, is a long fin wrasse. Can't remember if he's in the flasher or the fairy family. Either way, he's a hottie and already out and eating. I think a couple of these shots shows his full belly. Rough day for him yesterday/last night though. Flew in from the west coast....landed in charlotte around 8am, got acclimated for several hours into the store systems, and finally got a quick acclimation into my tank at about 9pm. Poor little buggers.

On to the coral shots, I'll start with my ORA goodies:

Roscoe's:

Red Planet:

Plum Crazy:

Purple plasma:

Duncans:

And the other misc. stuff:

Birdsnest

Blue-tip bottlebrush

Blasto merletti

Photosynthetic blue sponge

Candy cane

Green Star Polyps

Hydnophora

Orange Lobo:

Zoas

Some unknown acro
