I noticed there are white anemone with purple tips in my LFS recently...after few readings on WetWebMedia, it has been mentioned that it is actually a sign of inadequate lighting.

So I just want to confirm here...

the shop name it a Radianthus (spelling?)

Sounds like a white sebae. Would it have looked like this? http://www.marinedepotlive.com/1123874.html That's how it should look.

yes that's what it looks like...ok so it is not lighting problem...

in the description it saids "can be aggressive to tank mates" so it means it will sting corals and other anemone if they come close in contact?

high chance it will happen? and are thye likely to move around to find a comfortable place to sit just like other anemone does?

Yes they will move till they find a place they like. And yes, they do have a some what powerful sting, and can sting and kill some corals. Though there are many people that keep them with corals, there are many that will not. For a reef tank, the safest anemone is the bubble tip.

HTH.....

I have a yellow tip sebae in my reef tank. It stays in one place, and has not bothered any corals.

I just got myself one of this guy 2 days ago, it moved by itself as expected..(under rocks again... Today I was trying to feed some brine shrimp to it but seems like it makes no response to it...is it because its still acclimatising to the new environment? It responses to other things like fish movements and it did clamp and expand itself during the day

It may take a while to get settled in. Give it a little time to see what it does.

Could that kind of anemone hurt each other if there were 2 of them in the same tank?

They should be fine together if they are the same type. Keep in mind that they get rather large. So you will need a large tank.

You can't prevent the anemone from moving, it will do what it wants. If it comes in contact with your coral, watch for discoloration. If you must move the anemone, then do it.
