Hey..
I have just bought 6 small Black Phantoms..But i want to make it at least 12 phantoms in my 75g...you think i could add more
In my tank i have these:
4 Gold angels
4 Blue gouramis
3 Zebra danios
1 pleco
1 Hoplo catfish
1 Feather-fin catfish

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

I'd say you're pretty fully stocked...

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

i think, first of all as zebra danios are shoaling fish, you should either add 3 more, to make a shoal of 6, or remove them, then if you remove them, then i say go ahead with 6 more phantoms, if not, no more as the tank will be stocked

I know the zebra danios need to be in a group..it's just that i have tried to get them out of the tank...not so easy to catch them.
I found 1 dead phantom today...so there are 5 left in the tank...i think i will buy 5 more to make it 10 phantoms.
The zebra danios and the pleco i will take back to the lfs.
The fish i have are not big...the angels are small..4-6cm,hoplo 10cm,gouramis 5-7cm,feather-fin 4-5cm.
The bottomfeeders i will remove later when i get my 3 Zebra plecos.
I think i will remove the gouramis aswell.

If you're removing all those fish, then yes you can add more Phantoms. Add them gradually & the mortality rate will be low.

Okey,i have now removed 2 of the gouramis..the other 2 will be removed tomorrow.I finally managed to get those zebra danios out too
I have now added 5 more Black phantoms so now i have 10 of them and it seems like they now enjoy them self...swiming around all together
I noticed some of them turn black color sometimes...i belive that is terrotorial disbutes

I used to have Black phantoms and the males would turn pretty dark black whenever they would show off to a female or another male. Expect a little fin nipping amongst the group as males can be kinda mean to each other, but usually not hostile towards other fish.

They really are neat fish

I agree..they are beautiful fish
Me and my son was thinking on the aquascaping thing..so we did some drawings and did a plant list.We noticed that some males did some dancing in front of a female..i think....the females has orange anal fin right?
It was really nice to watch them, especially when other 2-3 came to join in
Do the Black phantoms breed easily?

Yup female usually have orange-ish red pelvic fins.

From what I understand, they are among the easier to breed tetras...then again if the conditions are right, any tetra is relatively easy to breed.

Good luck with them
