They are doing fine, but I've read conflicting info about their compatibility. I was planning on moving them over to my 70 gal well planted tank with 3 Altum Angels. Are bleeding heart tetras fin nippers? Will they go after my angels?!?! I've also read that they eat plants but have not noticed any damage to the plants in my 20gal that they are currently housed in. |

But angels are aggressive enough that you shouldn't have to worry about keeping them with these tetras. The only time when their habits are going to be a problem is if you keep them with long-finned fish that can't defend themselves, such as guppies or bettas. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

As for nipping, again, don't be too concerned. I wouldn't be surprised if they nipped at the angels's fins, but no real harm will result. The angelfish can hold the tetras at bay. |

The tetras were medium when I added them, but right now they are quite large, and the angels are small to medium in size. |

Just take your time & watch them, & if you'll see any nipping, you can remove them. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
