They are such small fish, and since they typically school together anyways, they don't really need much space. If you can get your hands on these tetras, then I don't see a problem with putting a school in a five gallon. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
