Will there be any other fish in the tank, or any invertebrates? If the tank is heavily planted, without other animals, you could keep about sixteen or so neon tetras in there safely. If the tank is unplanted without tankmates, the most I'd do would be ten. Ten gallon tanks are notoriously unstable, so you must be very careful when stocking one, and keep up on your tank maintenance. Weekly water changes are very helpful, though they can't prevent every problem that might occur. |
