They get pretty large for tetras (seven cm/nearly three inches), and are quite active fish. A five gallon tank won’t be large enough for one of them, let alone three. Besides, I’d put more of them in there anyways. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
