![]() | fin nipping question |
Ethan14![]() Big Fish Posts: 312 Kudos: 339 Votes: 18 Registered: 06-Jul-2005 ![]() ![]() | i have 6 bleeding heart tetras in a 25 gal tank. They seem to chase each other around a lot and occasionally nip at each other. I would like to add 2 dwarf gouramis and a betta. Will the tetras bother them and nip at their fins too much? I'm mostly concerned about them bothering the betta |

The Dwarf Gourami might make it, but i wouldn't do it for the same reason. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I had really nippy red-eye tetras in with male Gourami and he was absolutely fine, never a single torn fin, but the red-eye tetras nipped the heck out of my glowlight tetras and even went after my panda cory's, so I returned the red-eyes ![]() ![]() So I'd say, try it with the Gourami, and if the Bleeding heart tetras pick on him too much, take the Gourami back, or the Bleeding heart tetras, whichever you like less. And then you could get a nice school of Cardinal Tetras ![]() Last edited by Nameless at 10-Jul-2005 12:15 |
