Can some silver dollars go in a 55 gallon with a severum, and a african knifefish? If so how many?

yes they can
as for how many most ppl on here will say theyre schooling n need 6 but 3-6 is ideal
they do get large so if u get a number of them expect to get a larger tank

For a little while, yes. However, silver dollars eventually get to nearly six inches in size. That, combined with the fact that they need to be kept in schools, means that they need large tanks to be happy. Fifty-five gallons will not be large enough long term for a school of silver dollars.

Another thing worth noting is that your knifefish will also outgrow that tank. They can easily top eighteen inches, and get way too big for just fifty-five gallons of water. Just keep that in mind.

the silver dollars would work, i have 3 and they are best buds, i dont think that you need more than that but if you get them you should get at least 3 and my silver dollars topped out around 4.5 - 5.0 inches so they are not that large, i think they will be fine in 55 gallon with severum but i do think your ghostknife will outgrow the tank.
