Brybenn![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1217 Kudos: 1173 Votes: 1 Registered: 02-Mar-2003 ![]() ![]() | the above post is wrong there is no real sexual dimorphisim in piranhas watching them breed is the only true sure way to tell short of disecting them they reach breeding maturity at around 1.5-2 years if housed n kept properly theyll grow very fast for the first 6 months then begin to slow down in growth but they never stop growing red bellies grow .5" a month for the first 6 months if kept properly then after that they grow bout 1-1.5" a year they should hit 6" in the first year maxing out at 10-12" other piranhas grow slower such as rhoms they gain .5-1" per year good luck wit ur fish n i hope u succeed at breeding them |
