if your looking for v small schooling fish that is hardy i suggest neon tetra's theyre colorful and very hardy!! I even cycle my tanks with them

Neon tetras actually aren't normally hardy, you may have gotten a batch that might have come from the wild. If your neons are farm raised they are severely inbred and aren't very good hardy fish, also they are very small. So I would not recommend Neons. Emperor tetras are actually kind of large and I'm pretty sure they are hardy. They are really also an amazing tetra to have, the males have hints of yellow in there fins which really accents the dark purple they have And if I'm not mistaken they have a little bit of extensions on there tail fins, but I can't remember.

[edit] I'm not sure how easy they are to find though.

Buenos Aires Tetras!
Awesome fish. Great schoolers, large, impressive,
and hardy as all heck.
One of my absolutely favorite tetras.
I have 4.
I am not sure if i wanna be the party pooper here
but Black Sharks(30 inches) and Bala Sharks(14 inches) get way too big for your tank, and Fronts grow to like 16 inches
It looks like what you need is a 300g tank dude! lol

any small bodied tetra will b killed in that tank once the fronts grow a lil n the black shark will bully them eventually but for tets id suggest exodons the bucktooth tetra very fast very active n colourful
blakc widows r hardy n fast but lack colour pristellas n von rio tetras r nice
u could even look into congo tetras there stunningly beautiful

Hey,
Had a few different tetra's and personally I would say the black phantom's. Beautiful fish and really quick (like most tetra's) so should not get bothered much. These little critters did not even flinch when I had a small outbreak of ick the other week (unlike my betta).

Hope this helps.

Black Skirt tetras and Red-Eye Tetras are the hardiest fish I've kept. Years ago when I just started fishkeeping, I had one red-eye tetra that I thought was injured during transport and moved him to tiny tank that wasn't even cycled with only an airstone and no heater. That fish lasted in that tank with all sorts of medication for almost a month when I finally realized there's nothing wrong with it and moved it back to the main tank. It's still alive now 5 years later, in a different home (I gave my tank & fishes away when I moved).

I would go with Red-Blue Columbian tetras. They have gorgeous coloration and seem pretty hardy to me. When I got my school one came in with a damaged fin that was totally healed four days after acclimating them to my tank. Also, they are the largest tetras that I've ever owned and I'd say they are pretty good at holding their own.

All big bodied Tetra's are quite hardy & as stated, the Rasboras aren't Tetra's. What are all the other tankmates & what size is the tank?.

Black skirt tetras, lemon tetras, and serpae tetras are all pretty hardy. But yeah, we're going to need more information before we can go off recommending fish to you.

Well Harlequins are not actually Tetras they're Rasboras

Black Skirt Tetras are about as tough as they come

How large is the tank? And what are the other fish? It's difficult to make a suggestion without knowing tankmates.
