Ethan14![]() Big Fish Posts: 312 Kudos: 339 Votes: 18 Registered: 06-Jul-2005 ![]() ![]() | ok im not sure what type of tetra i have i used to think i had bleeding hearts but instead of having a red spot they are all red so they cant be bleeding hearts. this is what they look like: http://www.maruko-shoji.co.jp/pageimages/jpegimages/crystal_red_tetra.jpg there are 2 of them that look like they are doing a mating dance they are swimming gracefully (unlike them) around eachother in circles and occassionally swimming on their sides. From what you're describing, it sounds like you've got two males who both want to be the boss of the school. Many tetras do this, so it wouldn't be unusual. What happens is that when the two encounter each other, they often spread their fins, display their flanks to each other, and wiggle around a bit while keeping the fins erect. They will also swim to apparently nip each other, but pull up at the last second. Sound like what your fish are doing? Keep an eye on them and see if it is the same two fish each time. |
