Random question - does anyone in America say "Blimey" except British people?

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

Nope... an' nobody ever says 'Cheers!' unless they're toasting something (other than me, I suppose)

I think it is a British expression. I haven't heard it here in Canada.

Its an olde english abbreviation of "god blind me!" just a general term back in medieval days for being surprised, along with other stuff like "stone the crows" or "well I'll be".

English people seem to want to be beaten to death or struck down by god whenever theyre surprised.Odd tendancy.
