Run the latest version of [link=HijackThis]http://www.download.com/HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html" style="COLOR: #FFFF00[/link], and see what it comes up with. The log file can be a bit confusing, but you can roll over to [link=TechSupportForums]http://www.techsupportforum.com" style="COLOR: #FFFF00[/link], sign up and post the log in the hijackthis section of the forum.

Download and extract the files to it's own directory, restart, close all possible programs and run the program. After it's done, go ahead and post that logfile to see if they can help you. Hijack this is a very powerful program, and it's a real good start to fixing your system.

Well not sure what happened with the system but I look at the COntrol panel and add remove programs and WOW have I got programs. Ones that I don;t even know what they are and I can't even un-install them either????

I have virus scanned it and nothing. I can't open the CD Drive, or many programs on it now. Looks like I will be re-installing windows from scratch.

Or I will just give it back to the rental place!!! HE he he he and let them deal with it!

I'm not too sure if that is it now. I scanned online (2 different scanners) and also Norton which is the one we have inhouse but none of them picked anything up. But something is odd tho.

From the Symantec site ..."Backdoor.Futro is a typical backdoor server program. Presence of the file Isass.exe (not to be confused with Lsass.exe) is an indication of a possible infection."

They have a detailed description and removal instructions ->

Hope that helps

eeek Norton!!
LOL true!

Have you tried Control+Alt+Delete to see if anything strange is running in the background? If anything looks suspect, check it at [link=http://www.processlibrary.com/]http://www.processlibrary.com/" style="COLOR: #4778C7[/link] or just quote it on google.
Some of the online virus scanners are quite good too

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

yes everything looks all good and runs all good.

I log onto the computer and also onto the server. I am using roaming profiles and so when I log onto another computer with my profile it doesn't have the folder layout on the desktop.

This is so weird???

I have tried with the right click and then appearence but this doesn't change anything.

Above suggestion sounds good

As to what caused it...did your comp crash last time u used it? Did u shut it down normally? scan for viruses.
