My persuasive essay is on why one shouldnt keep a Goldie in a bowl. I need some facts(obviously, statistics, expert opinions to back it up. Do any of you guys have good websites to help me?

TIA

Have a look through [link=this thread]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Coldwater/64646.html" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link].

And print out a pic of bruce as a cover for your paper.

I shouldn't talk I suppose...I keep 100 goldfish in a bowl and they're quite happy [img src='/images/forums/halo.gif' border=0]

True but I have yet to see a 55G bowl so even the largest bowls are too small for goldfish.

I have

garden centre local to my bf stocks lovely huge bowls, 50+g with filtration, lighting, stand, etc. Absolutely gorgeous, would look great with some female fighers, gourami or similar with lovely glass crystal gravel and a BiOrb style filter system (modified ugf)

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

Then I stand corrected though I have yet to see 55+G goldfish bowls.

but it is safe to say that most bowls are not fit for goldfish.

I've seen some rather large goldfish bowls...I'm guessing 75-100 gallons... but you couldn't really use them. They were in the National Gallery in DC... like 500 years old an' imported from asia somewhere
