There is so much good info. on here that I would like to save some for future reference. I was told if I was not a part of a thread but wanted to save it anyway, to just add it to my active treads. The only problem is my active threads keep disappearing with time & I don't know how to access the old ones.......... if you even can. If you remember the title of a post, I'm sure you could bring it up in "search".......... but I do good to remember where I parked.

I would imagine some people save post & threads & pics from here. The question is how?? I'm not very comp. savy, so it would have to be a simple process. Is there such a thing? How do you all save info. from this site?

Um, copy->paste into a word processor or notepad?

Quite a few of my posts are pre-typed into Notepad. Then saved to my hard drive for future reference.

This applies especially to those that are likely to form the basis of articles for the Articles section of the site.

I've got FishProfiles posts going back to 2003 on my hard drive.

A quick look at the folder in question says:

Contents: 432 files, 3.16 megabytes.

It would seem I've been somewhat busy.

I was hoping somebody had a relatively unknown way to save posts right here on FP. But ok........ guess I will start a file of my own somewhere else.

Only 432 files Cali? From taxes to politics to fish & everything in between I'll bet!

I've seen a lot of posts on here that ought to be in the article section.......... both yours & other peoples! IMHO

Virtually all of those 432 files are fish posts.

The only exceptions are about 7 or 8 JPEG files, but they're JPEGs of fish.

Oh by the way Patty, my Pandas have spawned again. Nice little cluster of eggs in the Java Moss and on the adjacent front glass.
