Just a few days ago i noticed a little bump just below my stomach, around the wasitline of my shorts. It's under the surface of my skin, a little bit smaller, but the same shape as a oval tylenol gelcap or similar, and is firmer than the surrounding skin. It was painful to touch when i first noticed it, but now it doesn't hurt to touch. It wasn't visible at first, but now if you look carefully it's visible and looks like what scar tissue looks like. It hasn't increased or decreased in size, but is still firm.

Any ideas? If it doesn't go away soon, it's off to the doctor for timmy.

lol bot flies are tropical. you wouldn't find them in NY.

Also bot flies require there to be a hole in the skin as the larvae still needs to breathe.

A cyst?

Have you been feeling stressed, rund won, tired, etc lately? Often if you're not getting enough nutrients, or youre recovering from a virus, you can get these nasty little spots that come up, hurt like hell then go down into a kind of scar which lasts for a while.

Worth getting it looked at though

Could it be a boil?

If you feel like stabbing it, see if a thick clear goo-like substance comes out... if it does, it's probably a cyst My mom had one on her finger... the doc had to burn/dig it out

Well, it seems to have gotten a little smaller, and it's not sore to the touch, but is more visible as a scar lookin' like thing. I wouldn't say i'm stressed more than ususal, but i have had a lot of headaches and been tired lately.

I'm not cutting into myself

I dunno, i need a physical anyway so i'll probably just go to the doc...

eat more fruit and veggies!!!

it does work against so many skin problems, after all, deficiencies are first noticed on the skin (apparently, according to my old doctor)

Thank you t_c for stating what I have been telling him for MONTHS.

Timmy,
Jelly beans (yes even the juicy pear ones) do NOT count as a fruit group!!!
