Today I learned or maybe I should say relearned, that the last day and a half or two, are the absolute worst...I am so drained mentally, emotionally, and physically, that when I got to leslie's this afternoon at 4i literally passed out and couldn't be woken up till 6:30...

I've also learned who it was for sure that was my demise as well as a couple others at this blankety blank place of hades...

And one more thing, I learned that tomorrow 11:00 am cannot get here soon enough for me

heidi

PS babe, I have to agree, if a day begans bad don't expect it to get any better, it will only get worse

Yesterday I learned that a coworker of mine at the pet store got a job pertaining to his degree, so he'll be putting in his 2 weeks when the manager gets back from vacation. I'll be sad to see him go, but this means I *should* be able to have his full time hours and quit Hallmark ] *~*hApPy DaNcE*~* ]

I also learned that I enjoy having layers in my hair

I learned it's painful to squirt hot water in your ear

Guess thats why DAN says "warm soapy water" and not "hot soapy water"

I've learned that some people only want you to be around when there is a dirty job to be done...

That some people at my exjob really are nice, why others *cough*aren't*cough*

That next time i feel like i did last night i either don't tell leslie or i'm going to the hospital

and last but not least if i don't settle down, my neighbor is going to kick my rearend and make me settle down some...

I learned that being kind and compassionate to someone will make a certain other person who lives in the same house say I'm no longer welcome there. :#( No it wasn't racso, but that's all I'll say.

I also learned that 2 of my coworkers had a Dani bashing session 2 nights ago. Not one word of what they said was true ] What THEY need to learn is to not run their mouths when they work with another certain person that works there, who happens to be one of my good friends

Moral of the story: I'm hated. My question is, what did I do

Today I learned that while baby Panda Corys can be a wonderful source of amusement as they play with bubbles stuck to a Java Fern leaf, filming them in action (either still pics or movies) is a major challenge, especially when the aquarium is just 5 inches off the floor and one has to adopt hernia-inducing positions to capture the pics. And then, just when you think you have snapped Junior's moment of hilarious glory, you get the display in the camera which shows that he moved before the shutter fired, so all you get is his tail end.

Good luck with the fight Hoolig! FIGHT HARD!
We just lost someone @my weekend job from cancer, worked @the station for 28 years the last one he worked from home while dealing with cancer.

I learned today that sometimes animals are just really smart! I was going to shut the window in the studio that was open a crack while @the same time talking with coworker E (one of my local drives was corrupted and had to take 2+hours out of my day to deal with that >.&lt...a slight movement out of the corner of my eye made me stop in my window shutting...turns out it was some sort of a lizzard, newt, something. After getting everyones attention to see how cute it was and try and decide if there was any way I could keep it I went back to the matter of the corrupted drive...
When I decided I should try and get a pic of him...he was gone ... We checked on the windows to see if he'd gone up somewhere or hiding in the curtians...turns out he was right back out the tiny crack in the window and sunning himself on the ledge .
I only got a quick pic of him before he wandered off...hopefully down four floors to where there was more likely to be tasty snacks

I learned that in can be simultaneously exciting and terrifying to tell your boss that you are unhappy with your position and want things to change - even if it is in the cowardly form of a letter . It's even worse waiting and knowing that she's read it by now and tomorrow you will be having a meeting to discuss it. Could go so many ways!

I also learned that my magazine will not survive beyond the first issue unless we get some advertising FAST! I also learned that I am terrible at trying to get said advertising. I am not a people person, not assertive or aggressive or able to think on my feet when speaking to someone. I'm just a sad little editor who prefers being hunched over a piece of copy surrounded by her beloved style guides to human contact!

I again learned that if I turn around too fast I will get horribly dizzy and basically fall over...

Yesterday, I learned that while going through the withdrawals of Effexor XR I am perfectly normal to be throwing up, dizzy, light headed, week, room spinning, and mushy legged (don't ask)...but if I take 90mgs of Sudafed every 4 hrs most of these side effects either go away, or are not nearly as horendous as they have been...

Oh and one more thingif you are talking to USPS 4-6 wks (?) actually means 2-2.5 months for deliverybut it has made it there

I found out that just because the meds the doctor gave you to make you sleep more than 2 hrs at a time, doesn't mean you will sleep more than 30 minutes at a time:%)even if you up the dose like he said you could

I've also realized no matter how comfy your bed is, even if you can't sleep, your rear gets sore sitting on it while playing on the internet for more than a couple of hours:%)

And RAST don't you dare say Santa Claus isn't real, I know he is, I've met him, and my dad sold him a new sleigh back in 1983, so I know he's real, who else would have a title to a sleigh through GMAC? And if you don't believe that is only because you were bad, and know you won't get anything but ashes for Christmas...

not today but yesterday I learned that my Marine Biology teacher is going to leave her stocked tanks at school over the summer. This means the fish will no get fed, and no water will be changed for about 8 weeks. To make things worst the AC will probably be off, so temps are likely to get high in the tanks over the summer >.< especially in the tank by the windows that don't have a background to block the light. and with those tanks by the window the will have hgue algal blooms becuase of all the light. I mean you think she knew better ]:|. and to think that i was going to give her my angelfish pair since i can't take the 75G to college.

EDIT: spelling

I learned that sodium thisulfate is the main ingredient of many aquarium dechlorinators, and that it is also used on the photography and pool industry. Further I learned that you can by sodium thiosulfate as a crystal form and make your own dechlor. solution for much cheaper than it is to buy the bottled liquid stuff. the crystals can also last for several years as long as they are kept in a dry place. for places to buy the crystals i guess would be a pool supply store, or a place to buy photography supplies(to develop your own film i'm guessing). Of course the cheapest alternative is to age your own water since that is afterall free (well except for the bucket or trough you purchase to put the water in to age)

and to make things even worst for the post ^ up there, she(my marine biology teacher) bought some goldfish to add to one of the tanks. its only a 55g and has pictus catfish serpae tetras, and now 3 goldfish on top of that. with a UGF ... poor fishies

I learned that my entire family seems to think I'm a horrible person. And maybe I can't see what's right in front of my face.

I also learned that one of my best friends is either being two-faced or lying. Or my sister is lying. Either way, it really hurts.

I learned that when I hated who and what I was, my family liked me. When I finally get some self confidence and can believe and trust in myself, they seem to hate me. Great for the mental image, eh?

I've learned that crying for several hours after having a screaming match with your sister leaves your face feeling all tight and weird, your eyes hurt, your throat sore and you get a pounding headache on top of a leaky nose.

Today has REALLY REALLY sucked thusfar and I doubt it will be getting any better.

Time for therapy... *goes to clean fish tanks* I think I need to pet my betta girls for a while.

I learned here recently I will be moving 1200 miles, who doesn't love moving fish that far?

Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn.

aww kitten! *tosses rose petals for kitten to play with*

Koi moving again ! *sends the moving faries from calla to koi :%).

I relearned my lesson of things getting out even when you dont want them too.
I also learned that iced coffee and walnuts make a yummy breakfast and that deadlines leave you feeling a bit funny the day after :%).

Koi *hugs*

Yesterday at the gym I learned a half-on.

(gymnastics move )

I also learned about the summer reading assignment I've been given for AP literature and composition. I hate summer homework. ]:| It's ten times worse than regular homework.

The last thing I've learned (and have been learning every day for a week) is that Super Squirts like to jam. ]

I've learned that I have really missed my home away from home, even if I haven't been missed

I've also learned that even when you think someone finally gets the fact and will remember when you say, the computer is broken...you find out that they weren't listening the million and a half times you said it]:|

I've also learned that I guess I won't be filling in the job applications online like I planned because I don't want to stand at the computer for 2 hrs a pop to get them done

I've also learned that it is great to have some buddies out here that don't mind you calling to ask them how many tablespoons are in a cup, and even if it drives their people friends crazy it was nice to hear a human voice, versus that of the dvd/cd player

no i'm not back, maybe in a week:#( heidi

I just learned like in 15 minutes or so that I have got to reseal my 55 gallon tank so I can get it going, so that I can use it as a hospital type tank]:|

Why? I've got to take all my fishies out of the 125 and do salt dips on them to rid myself of leeches:#(and then I have to drain the whole flipping tank and sterilize it, anyone want some gravel? I'm gonna throw it at people who make me mad, all 150 lbs of it]:|

I'm going home to cry...heidi

(((Heidi)))

I learned today that computers can leave unwelcome traps even for the experienced. And that my cable modem will still keel over sometimes even though I bought a desk fan to keep it cool. Primarily because the nice people who provide my internet service are piddling about with their servers, but, ahem, they sort of 'forgot' to tell the customers that this was happening, and so boom, there went my Java Development Kit download (which of course keeled over after I'd downloaded 118 megs out of 119 ...).

I also learned that Panda Corys are far more reliable than any computer on the planet. Because they've decided that I need cheering up, and have done so by launching into spawning number 84. Mata Hari is leaving a trail of exhausted, gasping suitors in her wake

The other day I learned that someone will call you out of the blue and ask you fishy questions... and how many tablespoons are in a cup. And that I actually knew. *hugs heidi* You have NO idea how nice it was to hear your voice! And of COURSE I missed you... my two best gals are MIA and you don't think I missed you?! Between you and stormy, I'm feeling all lost and confuzzled!

Today I learned that it's REALLY boring to sit through a class on boating rules and regulations when you already KNOW the answers. I hate that MI sheriff deputy people decided (after four YEARS) that our original licenses weren't good enough and we have to take a six hour course, with the test being a week from today. Stupid people.

I discovered that yet another of my panda cories is looking poorly. I don't know why and I'm getting fairly peeved about the whole deal. I don't care HOW cute they are, I'm not getting anymore. I've had enough of losing the poor lil things. I'll stick to other cories now.

I think my eldest betta girl (one of the two left from my original group) isn't going to last much longer. She looks kind of iffy and spends most of her time resting (to the point of me making sure she's still amongst the living).

I've found my betta girls will pick at the cucumber I dropped into the tank for the BN. They've never shown interest before.

I've also decided that cories are one of my favorite fish... I was laughing over their antics when I dropped in a few bottom feeder wafers and sinking shrimp pellets... had to nearly pry myself away from the tank to continue cleaning up the house.

I've learned a couple of things...

1) I got some photoshop mail in the snail mail
2) It is only going to cost $150 roughly to fix my laptop, and I'll have it back tomorrow or Wednesday
3) The lfs I like close by has added so much new stuffes it's unbelievable that they can fit it all into the space they have...and they have hired one of my favorite guys from another lfs and it makes it wonderful
4) Also 15 minutes online at a time stinks bbs

5) Learned that the computers where you can sit down are not meant for adults, we are to stand up

6) That you have to be really nice to the librarian to use said computer (might be I have on a school t-shirt) and then they might let you back on, but she won't do it again:#(

7) I want my computer back!!!

i learnt that people look out for you in unexpected places.

i learned that relationship issues are a very good way to reconnect with one's family. i have talked to both my parents more over the past couple months than i have over the past two years also, i've learned that it is very nice to have friends who are supportive and caring enough to try to cheer me up when i need it.

I learned to not only look in the mirror before you leave for work in the morning but to LOOK DOWN. I was at work for an hour this morning before I realized I have one black sandel and one brown sandel on.

I learned that guys are worse slobs than I thought they were. I just went over to our wood shop at work to see my brother, he asked me to price out some lumber for him and I was instantly covered with oil when I grabbed onto the phone. The foreman started laughing as I'm screaming foul language... and then he tells me that someone dropped it into an oil spill. Of course noone CLEANED IT OFF!

I learned that even after being on certain medications for quite a while side effects can stop, or new ones can start, good or bad :%)

I learned that there are new trains on the Metro that don't have the ugly orange seats (it's been a while )

I learned that alternating toenail colors hot pink and orange makes for a good summer look

I learned that some of my kids would rather have carrot cake for their birthdays than chocolate

And I learned that Hershey is now making cookies, including Reese's which are absolutely fantastic, especially frozen
