That might actually be a good way to cool the computer...

I'll have to keep that in mind

Mind you, the guy is using MINERAL OIL and not WATER.

I felt I had to mention this as someone is likely to drop their pc into a tank of water.

Heh, it won't take someone long to figure out how to integrate a PC into an aquarium so that the CPU provides the heating for the tank

Admittedly a ferociously difficult technical exercise (and i wouldn't put any Mormyrids in such a setup) but someone out there will give it a go. There'll probably be a prize for the first person to integrate a PC successfully into an aquarium full of live fish without electrocuting himself or the fish

However, anyone here tempted to try, please DON'T. Apart from the seriously hazardous nature of the undertaking, would YOU want to live in a box full of electrical hardware emitting huge amounts of microwave radiation into your surroundings? Neither would many fish given the choice I suspect ...

It's been done the other way 'round, cali.

Somebody built a 1.5g tank into a computer case (in a sealed compartment so it don't leak ) They had a bunch of neon tetras in there because of "their wide tolerance of temperatures"

I'll have to dig 'round and find that link again
