i been java for awhile, and it is getting borring, i went though vb and all that jazz. we have a contest comming up for java programming in march or something, so any ideas about what i should make, like running program.

i was thinking about a program that runs bussiness factors, what do ya think.

are there any restrictions, like size of code or anything like that?

Could make a program that guesses what you are thinking. Like you pick a number, and the program guesses random numbers (gotta come up with a formula) until it gets it right...you tell it if it's right or wrong, but ya can't change yer number. I wrote a program like that a while back... it was nifty

Or write a fun question/answer program... use nested-if statements

I ran out of ideas for fun programs a long time ago

a program which lets the computer race a remote control car around a track competing against a human! Great fun! I've had friends who did this as a project in Java, with the computer doing visual recognition on its car and calculating where to steer it.


Of course it depends what hardware is provided. My friend had a computer, a serial control box so the computer could use a remote control, a webcam and a large arena. And we learnt that the project is completely impossible with a USB1.1 device lol!
