I have about 10 pair that stay in constant rotation, another 15 or so pair that are for fancier occasions, and I won't even try to guess at how many pairs of sandals I own.. All the rest of my "retired" shoes stay in boxes in my closet.. It's quite a sight..

My boots are more comfortable than my shoes and I wear them just as much so why wouldn't they count? I have 1 pair of shoes to wear everywhere, 1 pair for wearing out to the stable, 1 pair of hiking shoes, 1 pair of rock climbing shoes, 2 pairs of riding boots, and 1 pair of hiking boots. I've never owned dress shoes. Dressing up means putting on my horse show clothes or at least my best pair of jeans and a tshirt with no barb wire rips or dirt and horse slobber stains.
