I listed some N. brevis on AquaBid.com, in the proper category Tanganyika.

I got this question regarding my auction: Do you have any pleco's? Also aren't these fish good cooked when they get bigger? Ummmm...what??? Even if someone didn't know where plecs came from, wouldn't doing a search be a better choice? And eating a fish that gets to maybe 2" long?

The spouse keeps asking if I'm going to reply but I don't know what to say

you should respond with some other non-sequitur like "ice cream doesn't have bones"

Just ask him if he replied to the right auction?

moondogs response would work well too though...

For the record though, most (larger) African Cichlids are great food fish. They form the basis of many people's diets in Africa. One cichlid has even become a mainstream food fish that you can buy in any market - Tilapia.

The same applies to most South American Cichlids as well.

In Florida, Plecs are an introduced species and a pest. No problem cooking one up for the people that find them down there!:%)
