If you don't want live plants but want the look go with silk plants, they look much more realistic. If you only have the plastics to work with I'd suggest a themed tank of some sort to make it fun. A background would help alot. ^_^ |

I was thinking of doing real plants, but i havent decided yet. The only thing that im having trouble with is the backround. It is a hex so im not sure how to give it a backround. Id rather not paint it either If you guys have any layout ideas, that would help a lot...Im having aquascapers block TIA I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

Babelfish Administrator Small Fry with Ketchup Posts: 6833 Kudos: 8324 Votes: 1570 Registered: 17-Apr-2003 | For the background I'd go with putting it either only on the back pannel or on the back three....it depends on how you view the tank. You could try it with a piece of wrapping paper, or anything you can find to use before getting the actual background. You could also always buy it long enough to go around the back 3 sides and just cut it down if you change your mind. ^_^ |

T/A Mega Fish Posts: 942 Kudos: 1796 Registered: 20-Feb-2004 | When I had my 2 gallon hexs set up I used black construction paper for the background. I first tried it on all three back panels. Then I tried it with just the center back panel covered. The only difference I noticed was less room light entered the tank with the three panels covered. |
