Help Decorating?! | |
thestooge Hobbyist Posts: 77 Kudos: 61 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Jan-2006 | I have had to get rid of my larger 29 and 20 gallon tanks do to a recent move, so I am stuck with a SMALL 10 gallon tank. Since it is so small I wanted to pay extra attention to my aquascaping. I was wanting to set up some kind of South American looking biotype. What type of driftwood/plants would you use (I want to try to go with live plants)? And how do people make it look like trees have fallen down in their tank (such as the picture here http://badmanstropicalfish.com/biotope/biotope1.html)? Fish CAN fly! |

I'm not sure a 10g is big enough. Go to tropica.com and click on the advanced search button. You can plug in the height of your tank (in centimeters) and select the continent and it will give you suggestions ba Anacharis, rosette swords (echinodorus parviflorus v. tropica), dwarf hairgrass, hemianthus callitrichoides, stargrass, dwarf sagittaria, Christmas moss, and some types of ludwidgia are some good types I see that may work in a 10g. I didn't plug in the height because I forgot how tall a 10g is. Alot of those plants require high light...in a 10g that would mean around 4wpg. |

As far as plants what type of lighting do you have? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |
