ctk1 Fingerling Posts: 23 Kudos: 10 Votes: 2 Registered: 07-Feb-2006 | The tank has been going for ages, but i had let it go completly, and had dirty water and only 4 live seprea tetras. Since then i have bought the fluval canister filter, and thrown out the bad undersized sponge filter with powerhead. Then i did a massive gravel clean, changed 70% of water giving it a cleaner start, but keeping some of the aged water. bought a couple more rocks and several plants and some danios, more tetras, swordtails and kuhli's. Now i have had the current planting running for a week, excluding the forefront planting and some of the other plants. My goal is for that forfront planting to link up and create some ground cover, and some of the right hand corner plants to bush up and get some length. Any suggestions welcomed. Keep it family friendly please, and not bypass the censor ~Babelfish |

You shouldnt plant it in bunches, it wont grow well and definatley wont grow into a carpet if thats what you are trying to acheive... May I suggest individualy planting each plantlet (3 leaves per plantlet). Also, this plant is high demanding meaning you should have atleast 2.5 WPG and constant co2 if you want this foreground plant to thrive and not grow straight up... |

ctk1 Fingerling Posts: 23 Kudos: 10 Votes: 2 Registered: 07-Feb-2006 | Thanks for the advice, i did seperate it but obviously not enough. it isn't doing to well at the moment, but i have ordered a new globe (a Powerglo). I did ask the LFS of its light requirements etc they said it was a low level light, and no co2. I have i think 30galon tank and a 30 watt light, so 1wpg. |

Glosso is one of the highest light and co2 demanding aquatic plants out there, I find it sad that the LFS would tell you the complete opposite... Good luck though! |
