I would like to ask for some suggestions on my tank. Most of all im worried about my back of the tank with the val and the edoea*(spelling). IMO, it looks quite good, but the A.sword on the left looks quite dead so will have some pace for some other plants.

it really does look good already, just try and hide the heater, and IMO the plants would look better if they were only mixed with their own type.

nice tank

IMO you have done a good job with this tank. I like it. :88)

If i could change anything with the tank, it would be putting a background on the tank. Also maybe one more small piece of planted driftwood, or a rock piece to the tank.

But this is just me, and quite frankly the tank is very pleasing to the eye, and good looking how it is.

Thanks for the kind replies.

I got another piece of driftwood at the back of the planted one. Its covered with javamoss. I still have to find a place to put it. When I remove my sort of dead A.sword then i can place it near the front.

Both Elodea and vals can be planted in the back to create a natural background, vals take longer though.

When trimming your elodea do small 3 stem groups and plant them about 3 or 4cm apart in the back, they will grow to hide the "wall" and will give you more contrast to the front of your tank.

I use Valls all the time to hide equipment like heaters and filters, so don't be afraid to plant them as foreground, in the corners they look great, they add depth also by size contrast and will do an excellent job hiding all the gimmicks.
