Aquabotanic has some awesome hobbyists. of those in the list I have only met Phil Edwards. And diana walstad though she isn't in the list. I love the tanks, but they can get very defensive on their forums IMO, I got chewed out on my first post ever on their forums, for giving advice on someone's rock formation(which was very ugly and unnatural looking, Sun agreed with me). Haven't gone back since then. I prefer sites like this were people aren't qute so stuck up about their tanks and are so quick (IME) to rub it into other's faces. A few of them are nice (tom, phil, and others). |

Acutally the bottom of a planted tank usually doesn't need the same type of gravel vac process that non planted or lightly planted tanks require simply because what's one fishes waste is another plants food .... Heavily planted tanks often will simply get a gravel hover similar to sand bottomed tanks where you just sweep over the surface to get any waste that's resting visibly. As for being down to water I'm all for that *signals she's ok and ready for a decent, before she remembers she's not actually diving and being on the 4th floor might cause some trouble* . ^_^[hr width='40%'] It's heartache every moment baby with you my darling with you."~ |

Did you notice that most of those tanks barely had any fish in them? or if they did they were only the smaller type meaning not much food and even less fish waste I am in awe of some of those tanks, really beautiful |

angeleel Fish Addict Posts: 561 Kudos: 472 Votes: 61 Registered: 08-Feb-2005 | Hehehe im looking through these sites and I noticed that in the year 2004 The awarded someone close to first place but in 2005 the were almost dead last and had the same tank, With the same plants same layout and everything..... I don't know maybe there is another way of judging they look into but that seems kinda unfair Or they simply forgot what the rated it the first time... Hmmmmm Angel Eel Never the less beautiful tanks, They look so stunning and well cared for. Thanks for sharing, very intresting and gave many ideas. |
