Tips for 2-sided viewing | |
Janna Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003 | I've just rearranged my room to fit at least 1 more tank. My 55 gallon will be moved to be at the foot of the bed. However, I'd like to be able to lay on my bed and watch the fish, and see it from the end of the bed. This presents a bit of a challenge, aquascaping-wise. What are your tips for doing something like this? Keep in mind this is a narrow tank ( >.< ). I'd really like to be able to use some of the plants I already have. I have vals, amazon swords, anachris, anubias, crypt wendetii and lutea, and dwarf chain swords. Here's an outdated pic of the tank, just to give you an idea about the driftwood and such. Done well you can have a line of taller plants following from one "background" to the other, obscuring the view through the tank (ie, you probably don't want to see the bed from side B or the wall/whatever from side A) but allowing for a middle and foreground extending into the other corner on that side. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

That would allow it to technically be viewed from all four sides. Might want to add a cannister to the "to buy" list....it would remove some of the equiptment. ^_^ [hr width='40%'] It only hurts when I breathe" |

That way the fish could swim all the way around the tank, it was set up to be viewed on both sides, The only problem i had was filters- a sub' heater can be tucked out of sight. |
