It also says " Pre-soaking overnight may avoid discolouration; Aquarium Yellowing can be remove with TAP aqua carbon I have washed it thoroughly with just clean water. It sorta half floated half sunk but has now settled. My Ret Black Shark was unsure to start with but he has had a nose around he is as pleased as punch with his new hideout. |

This is the tannic acid (tannins) leaching out. This is normal, and after a few water changes, it should go away It can drop your pH, and the colour will make it hard to measure, so if the tank water gets very yellow, like tea, do a water change until it lightens up. |
