Want to fix up 25g , ideas? | |
So_Very_Sneaky Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3238 Kudos: 2272 Votes: 201 Registered: 10-Mar-2004 | Hi all, I am going to soon want to work on my 25g tank aquascaping wise, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for this tank. It is tall, not long, and contains my breeding pair of Angels and 9 Corydoras Aenus. I would like to go with something that looks good, is simple, low light, and works well for both my spawning angels and my corys. I have access to lots of free "natural decor" The only plants in here are Wisteria, Java Fern "Windelov" young plants, and one Anubias that has lost almost all its leaves due to Angels but has 4 new leaves sprouting now. Heres a couple pics Lighting is .5wpg and an additional clip on 23 watt spiral. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

I do want to get a nice peice of dw for it though, and maybe some dark gravel and some more plants. I have planted some Bacopa in there, which did really well before, so letting that grow in. Also thinking about getting a couple/few more anubias plants, perhaps just going with those 3 plants: Anubias types Wisteria Bacopa Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

The overall effect will be rather dark even with the light on. If you do want a darker gravel I'd suggest doing it in steps. Add the drifwood to begin with then add a darker gravel if you still think the tank needs it. I'd go with a dark natural rather than a straight black substrate. ^_^ How long till you break You're happy cause you smile But how much can you fake... It's better to put a piece of slate in there, so the Angels will clean it & not pick on your plants. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I think what I am going to do is mix some black in with the white. I am going hunting for a peice of driftwood soon too. I have planted some bacopa in there and it is doing pretty well.
