cloudy water need help asap | |
gaz2374 Fingerling Posts: 44 Kudos: 48 Votes: 1 Registered: 24-Mar-2005 | iv recently changed my substrate from gravel to sand . the sand has settled and has been 2 days since it was added but i still have cloudy water will this just go on its own over the next few days or is there away to get rid of it . |

Next question is...did you take any steps to prevent a minicycle if the tank was already cycled when switching the substrate? gaz2374 Fingerling Posts: 44 Kudos: 48 Votes: 1 Registered: 24-Mar-2005 | 1st yes i rinsed really well for an hour 2nd no precautions as the tank wasnt cycled fully yet anyway so i guess i just set it back a week or so . 3rd it is just a cloud no particals i can see even when very close to tank . |

A cloud that has particles that can be seen is more likely to be dust from the sand that wasn't rinsed enough (an hour may not have been long enough).
