I would rinse it very well, you could also bake it @ 200. just to kill any parasites that may have come with it |

All you have to do is, give it a good rinse & place it in your tank. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004 | Since the driftwood is a premounted piece from an lfs it's pretty safe to say it's not carrying anything. What to do with it depends if you like looking at the slate and how big the piece is. A large piece of slate sitting on top of the gravel might lead to anearobic pockets if you don't stir underneath it. |

When it's coming from an LFS it shouldn't be carrying any critters like sham mentioned. However it should be rinsed well, you never know what chemicals it's managed to pick up being in the store. Give it a real good rinse and scrub in warm water. If you like how the piece will be in the tank with the slate as the ba ^_^ How long till you break You're happy cause you smile But how much can you fake...
