sand pit? | |
jenbabe256 Big Fish Posts: 316 Kudos: 312 Votes: 10 Registered: 21-Jul-2004 | Does anyone know if there is a way to make a small sand pit to put into the tank. I have a 29 gallon with regular gravel, but my loaches really like to dig. I was hoping there was someway to make a designated sand area in one of the corners of the tank without it getting everywhere. If so, would I need to do anything special to my filter intake so the sand wouldn't get in there? Thanks for any input! |

Sand has never hurt my penguin 330 or any other power filter. Just make sure you rinse it really well so it doesn't float and cloud all over. |

I think strange1 had something similar.... |

Cause no matter what you do, some of the sand will get stired up on occasion and will get into your filter from that. Make sure you rinse your sand REALLY well before putting it into the tank too! |
