second tank pic, need help | |
greenfootball Fish Addict Posts: 613 Kudos: 360 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jul-2001 | http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/greenfootball49/album?.dir=/f813&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/greenfootball49/my_photos well, i started doing modifications, something looks strange to me. i moved the amazon to the back, trimmed some red temples and put them next to the rock, which is now vertical. i think the cabombas in front of the sword need to be moved, and maybe the apon in front of the rock too?? the left side looks like chaos. about the rock, what should i put behind it?? there are still a few stems of red temples back there along with some cabombas. still waiting for the next shipment of vals for the right side corner. |

However, now I've learned to plant some plants singularly (like the Water Wisteria). As for your tank2, it looks messy on the left hand side (like you said). The way I would plant them is shortest front and tallest in the back. That way it will more organized instead of having some talls in the front and some shorts in the middle. I would also put the rock horizontal and put your shortest plant in front of it. I don't know if that helped but the simpler the setup, the better it will look! I like it, but you are right i would move the apon behind the rock, nd the cabomba to one corner either would work. other than that i think it will look really cool once plants start growing, and i still like the rock vertical better |

greenfootball Fish Addict Posts: 613 Kudos: 360 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jul-2001 | http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/greenfootball49/detail?.dir=/f813&.dnm=32c4.jpg well... i changed the rock back to horizontal because i think the ghost shrimps like it that way better. some of the apons are growing leaves that points to all different directions which made it look messy. i tilt the angle of the rock so it creates a courtyard-like scene with the wood. i am still waiting for more vals, one of my lfs sell regular jungle vals for 6.99!!!! compare to petsmart for 1.99, i think i am going to wait since i'll need to buy like 4 of them.
