The tank was originally on a divider wall and didn't have one. When I moved it I just used some leftover black background I had. Maybe I'll try foil which is what I have on my 30g. That may at least brighten it up a bit. This tank does get a lot of algae for whatever reason, the bulldog does a fantastic job with it though. I like the driftwood idea but haven't seen much of it around here, that might take some research ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Looks like it's got plain black right now. What about a reflective background, either a straight mirror, or reflective tag board. I had it on my 10 for a long time and really liked the effect (although it does tend to double the ammount of algae you can see ![]() I know hornwort doesn't need to be "planted" but what about getting some of it to stick under the pebbles, without much current it won't be pulled up as easily....and a super twisty "old haunted tree" type piece of driftwood as a focal point. ^_^ ![]() |
