I need some ideas for what to decorate my Dwarf Puffer tank with.

I already have a tank with---

real driftwood

fake driftwood

sunken ships

green rock

so I dont want to do any thing with these items.

Feel free to post your tank pics to give me ideas. Id love to see them!

LOTS AND LOTS OF PLANTS!!! They love heavily planted tanks. They need places to hide. You should probably add a piece of real driftwood as well. That should do it for those guys. I wouldn't add much else.

Yup, tons of plants. Live plants are best, but fake works, too. I've got a ton of tiny terra cotta pots I got from a craft store in with my DP, and she loves searching inside of and around them for snails, and it gives the ghost shrimp a place to hide while they're molting.

. . . Legos? Really? They're safe for fish tanks?

Well, realistically speaking legos are just plastic. I dont see what harm they would be.

Not to hijack the thread but do your puffers eat the ghost shrimp? cause mine wont.

Anyways, legos actually sound cool specially if you have funny colored substrata. My two puffers love nothing more than to swim all over the tank playing in bubbles and around the plants and in the flow of the filter. So I give my GSP and F8P lots of objects that create current.

I bought four ghost shrimp a few weeks ago, and all of 'em are still there. (Just checked) They're actually pretty interesting.. just gotta remember to feed them because the puffer makes sure they don't get any bloodworms.
I'm gonna have to try out the Lego thing. Some of my cousins can make really awesome castles, so I might have to go steal a few pretty soon. I guess if the Legos float, I can just put some gravel on the green base-pieces.

You can actually get weighted lego blocks they come in the boat kits that float there used as ballast I actually have one of them in my chest i used it about 12 years ago in a lego aquarium fixture.
